I personally just love living near the West Orange Trail. The benefit of living near the trail is that you can just grab your bike and go. I hate using a bike rack and to have to find parking. Living near the trail is so much easier. It is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and get some great exercise at the same time. Why go to the gym and ride a stationary bike or a treadmill when you can use the trail. Sometimes I just walk a couple miles on the trail and leave my bike at home. The trail is very scenic lined with beautiful trees and and plants indigenous to central Florida. On the weekends my family makes a day of it. We normally take a break in Downtown Winter Garden for lunch which is about 5 miles from my house, or we may park our bikes outside the Oakland Nature reserve where we stop in to visit the museum and walk the trails. See my video below on a typical ride on the trail and the stops along the way.
